Criteria to request a grant

ÅUF officials prepare a distribution proposal based on the applications - as well as the funds budgeted for this purpose - which the board then processes. The board can choose to grant the entire applied sum, a part of the sum or to reject the application completely.

Contributions are not granted for the same activity in both application periods. However, it is possible to retroactively apply for grants, f.e. for activities realized during or shortly before the application period. In such a case, the application should include a record of the expenses.

Contributions can be granted for the following activities:

• hiring teachers for courses, workshops, theater performances, etc.;
• hiring entertainment for events (f.e. orchestra, magician, theater performance);
• promotional material;
• material for courses, workshops or events;
• transport costs;
• NEW! Priority to new applicants!

Contributions are not granted for the following purposes:

• purchases and general costs of the association (f.e. a new dish washer);
• reparations of culture houses and buildings;
• paying loans.

Distribution of the grants and accounting

The associations that have been granted contributions will be notified by e-mail or post through the contact person specified in the application form as soon as the board has decided on the grant distribution. The amounts granted are paid no later than two weeks after the Board's decision, and to the bank account specified in the application.

After the activity has been carried out, the beneficiary (the association) must send a brief report and financial statement on how the grant was used. The report must be sent through the electionic form that can be found here. Attachments must be sent by e-mail to auf@auf.fi or by post to Åbolands Ungdomsförbund ÅUF r.f., Fredrikaplanen 1, 21600 Pargas. Associations that have not submitted a financial report of a past project cannot apply for grants in the following application period.
